The Devastator-Baitfish Fly

Sale price$20.00

It's not called the Deavastor for no apparent reason. This design has been slaying monsters and tiddlers for the past decade worldwide; it is an excellent baitfish imitation for all hungry fish-eating predator species and all types of waterways, as it's tied to a saltwater bomb of a flyhook. Large brown trout here in NZ love it when even the most minor rivers flood, though it's equally at home in a Dorado or Trevally's mouth. Originally field tested designed for NZ big wary browns on the famous Oreti river of Southland, right on our back door, well 20 mins away if we have to be honest. However, it finished off in the USA, on Pike.

It is light and easy to cast, and its solid, clear flex head with sizeable oval fish eyes gives it a little weight to sink. Its organic natural feathered marabou over body wiggles and pulsates, Its barred glistening UV extended underbody gives it that nice elongated transparent look of a baitfish when wet.

It's not too long and gangly that it gets missed by hungry fish when they attack it. It is a neat fishy two inches in length. It comes alive in the water with all its "come and eat me", the triggers that predator fish can not resist.

It is tied on a super strong, saltwater black nickel 600SP Japanese TMC, size two hook specially chosen for its large gape for more solid hook-ups for you guys to have more fishy fun.

Remember, Having more than one good fly in the correct size is always good. So, the more significant the pack, the better; that way, you will have a few staple flies doubled and trebled up in the pack selection.

As we know, there's nothing worse than losing the only fly you have that works.
