The Saratoga is a freshwater bony fish native to Australia. It is a long bodied fish with large scales and large pectoral fins and small paired barbels on its lower jaw. It is a great fish to target with surface flies, tough baitfish flies and flies with plenty movement all work well. It ambushes its prey and is commonly found beside cover. The Saratoga is a fun fish to catch and strikingly beautiful.
