NZ Fly Fishing School


Stu's base has a great grass casting area . It could not be any easier - you park, cast, learn and have fun! In one day you will achieve the best foundation of fly casting and fly fishing that will help you as you move forward into the fun fascinating world of fly fishing. In 2007, Stu became Australasia's first Certified IFFF Master Casting Instructor - you will be learning from the best. Stu's school is mobile too so we can go to your place too if you wish. Travel charges will apply. If is always recommend that the more days of  NZ fly school you attend the better you will become(every day would be tailored to suit you or your party). After finishing with the NZ fly fishing school days why not make the most of it and  book some days of guided fly fishing as well and seal the deal , into the world of fly fishing. Doing this the chances are you will become very good in a very short space of time , compared to years of bad habits and frustration being self taught or from non qualified ,friends or guides.

What to bring

Lunch, pen & paper, warm clothes, rain jacket, fly rod and reel. If you do not have a fly rod and reel, a large range of top quality teaching equipment and King Of Fly rods are available.

We meet at the Highway cafe in the small town of Athol, right beside the best fishing rivers around, and  from there travel to 2 min  to Stus home base with casting and teaching area, where the NZ fly school will take place. So allow time for your driving to and from Athol.

 All lunches ,drinks etc,equipment will be supplied.
